And I believe it. Because when my dear friend and “YAbongo!” business partner (Mark Hawdon) and I, were jamming together on the back deck in Woodstock one balmy summer’s day, We conceived the first conga style instrument with a kick foot pedal! He being the guitarist, and me the percussionist, both realized I could’ve used a base beat to be included. That’s when we knew the instrument needed a foot kick! So gave birth to the “YAbongo!”. We are happy and proud to bring a new and unique percussion instrument into the music world. It’s light yet very durable and portable, to be taken with you wherever you go!
